May 5 is Boys' Festival. A spider battle is held in Kajiki-cho on that day. It carries out on Sunday of the beginning in June now. People of this town make it compete for a silk spider on a stick. This spider is called "Yamako" (mountain spider). Kochi Prefecture of Shikoku also has the same event. This event is also a tradition event of this town.
