Kagoshima is called treasury of folk-customs culture. However, now, people's life-style and tradition entertainments have changed for social change. So, I wish to introduce the "present" folk-customs culture using video here. You can look at the tradition culture of Kagoshima in Japan.

	"Ise-kou" in Kamitsunuki, Kaseda The Ise God festival document. People move a mikoshi between community centers on January 11 every year.
	"Ise-kou" in Komatsubara, Kaseda The festival of Ise God in February. In Komatsubara, although a mikoshi is not moved, a Shinto priest moves. People still decide this Shinto priest by the lot.
	"Suisya-Karakuri" at the Takeda shrine, Kaseda This windup doll by this water wheel is also prefectural cultural assets. The doll of body size is dedicated on July 27 every year. Furthermore, in this video clip, I also introduce the samurai dance. The samurai dance is made of two kinds of dances, a youth's dance and a child's dance.
	"Suisya-Karakuri" at the Toyotamahime shrine, Chiran-cho This windup doll by the water wheel is prefectural cultural assets. Unlike the doll of Takeda shrine, the doll similar to the Joruri doll moves variously.
	"Juugoya Tsunahiki" in Ichiki-Yamashita, Kaseda The August night-with-a-full-moon tug of war. People made the big rope (a length of 35m) by twisting the three ropes. This event was revitalized for the first time in ten years.
	"Juugoya Tsunahikizuri" in Komatsubara, Kaseda The moon festival in the village of the seaside in Kagoshima. In these villages, children drag a rope, and travel around the inside of the village.
	"Juugoya Dossa" in Uchideguchi, Chiran-cho August night-with-a-full-moon event Juugoya Dossa. This event is also called Sorayoi. The mystical children wearing the straw hat stamp the ground and appreciate the moon.
	"Taiko Odori" in Tsunuki, Kaseda The autumn festival of Kagoshima is called Hoze. People perform a traditional drum dance in this festival. It is called Taiko Odori or Hozeodori. This dance consist of two small drums, two bells, and 16 big drums, in Tsunuki. The player of the small drums and the bells are the sacredness boy who wear female dress.
